With top Equine Photographer Minh Dan Vu you can join us for this limited number workshop in April 2023 within our horsemanship volunteer program! You will join our horsemanship program and learn how to live and communicate force-free and in harmony with horses and also learn from one of the world’s bests how to put our beauties into the right magical Namibian light with daily exclusive photography sessions with Minh Dan Vu. 

As an additional highlight you will join a 7 day tour together with Minh to the the three most popular destination of our beloved Namibia! Our famous Sossusvlei in the Namib Desert - the stunning Namibian Coastline & our unique Etosha National Park!

Daily Schedule:

7:30 - 8:30  Breakfast to the sound of our beautiful African birdlife 

8:30 - 9:30 Assisting with feeding & walking the stud horses (on offer; no must within this course / you also have the option to sleep in and enjoy a relaxed breakfast at 9:00)  / or practise your new photography skills on your own (foals & horse groups etc) 

10:00-13:00 Horsemanship lessons 

13:00 -14:30 Lunch Break 

14:30 -15:30 Photography lesson with Minh Dan Vu 

15:30-17:00  Assisting with feeding & walking horses (on offer; no must within this course)  / or stud photohoots / or Sunset Outrides 

18:30 Dinner to a stunning Afrian sunset (every night! :))

There will be additional optional photography practise sessions at 6:45 AM before breakfast or in the late afternoon 2-3 times a week on offer together with Minh to capture the most amazing early and late light!

Program Summary

​

Surround yourself with the healing and inspiring spirit of Joseph’s Dream Appaloosas in the silence of the African bush! Learn and sharpen your natural horsemanship skills, help raise foals, and assist with training and backing horses. Learn to truly live and train horses force free and with respect and experience the joy and freedom of this!

You will be involved in the daily care of 40+ stud horses and their foals. Of course, you’ll have time to recharge, relax, get creative and just absorb the beauty of Namibia's stunning nature, free roaming wildlife and our gorgeous horse family. 

During your stay with us, develop new skills, make new friends and work with a great team of people. The consistent core of our program comprises our friendly and talented horse workers from the ancient Namibian San tribe.

Learn with Horsemanship and different methods like Clicker Training, Liberty, Trust exercises, Bodywork and co to truly connect force free!

Learn from world renowned Euqine Photographer Minh Dan Vu how to put horses into the right light, composition, feel and how to get the most out of your camera! This is a basic photography workshop so you do not need to have any specific experience level; only your camera and the right amount of passion! However Minh will also share with you how to edit your photos taken together and how to optimise the effects afterwords, so please bring your laptop or tablet along. 

Our peaceful and modern shaped green village provides accomodation for you during your stay in one of our brand-new chalets with private toilet and bathroom. Our limited number of maximum 8 participants for this special workshop ensures that the desired family character of the whole experience stays alive and provides the opportunity for personal attention and questions.

Namibia is one of the most breath taking countries in the world to travel! It’s unique and vast landscapes will blow you away while its raw and untouched wildlife ensures the real African experience!
